gamila Horse

Gamila's name means beauty. When she came to us at the age of one and a half, nobody could touch her. Gamila was very scared and for a long time we couldn't understand why. She looked good, she was well fed, but no one was allowed to come near her. Our vet then discovered that she had been used in a halter and bit and apparently yanked on it to make her compliant. As a result, her tongue was cut or torn on both sides down to the middle. This horse is afraid of being hurt again. She now trusts us and we can stroke and groom her, but only up to a point. As soon as we put a halter on her (without a bit, of course) she tries to run away. She had already dragged one of our employees behind her, the fear is still deep in her.
